FBRM® and PVM® Particle System Characterization User Training Course

The aim of this training course is to introduce participants to the METTLER TOLEDO Lasentec® FBRM® and PVM®  technology, techniques and general concepts of particulate processes. The topics to be covered include both instrument hardware and software (i.e. how to locate the probes in a reactor or how to interpret correctly the data of a particular process). Theorectical background is combined with experiemental applications of the instruments.

Course focus
- Introduction to FBRM® an PVM® technology
- Hardware issues: optimal probe location, sampling in particulate systems
- Introduction to FBRM® software including general concepts of particulate processes and measurements and procedures for optimal data acquisition and interpretation
- Comparing trends and data of different experiments
- Data evaluation
- Crystallization experiment with hands-on training


Course designed for
This course is for users of the METTLER TOLEDO Lasentec® FBRM®  and PVM®  instruments and technology. A degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering is essential.
